Craft’s Summer Catalogue explores the relationship between our living spaces and the objects with which we surround ourselves. Photographed in a new location each year, we look at instilling spaces with contemporary craft made by Australian makers.
While last year’s Catalogue looked at the rise of smaller living spaces in Melbourne’s inner city – this year we wanted to take you further afield to an historic farmhouse in Tylden, Victoria. Nestled between Trentham Falls, Hanging Rock and Lerderderg Parks, this beautiful home is owned by Natalie Davis and her partner Nils Bendix who have been painstakingly restoring the property for the last two and a half years. Ewing Farm— named after the area’s civil engineer who built the home in the late 1860s, is a stunning setting for this year’s catalogue which traces the movement of light across a single day.
We are thrilled to be able to share this home and the work of so many incredible makers with you— we hope you enjoy
Using the catalogue –
Tracing the movement and quality of light throughout the day, Craft’s Summer Catalogue 2015 presents a series of works alongside each aspect of the day. Access these via the side menu bar, and click on individual objects to browse our Online Store, where you can purchase by collection, maker, or individual item.
We are incredibly fortunate to be able to work with an amazing team of people to put this catalogue together — our sincerest thanks to Hilary Walker, Leesa O’Reilly and Beck Jobson.
